Election 2026 Guide: Time To Vote!
In the news biz, we talk about “hard deadlines,” and our hard deadline to vote in the 2026 election is 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3. If you haven’t voted, it’s time to get it done!
But it’s a huge ballot with a bunch of candidates and ballot measures. Even if it’s getting late in the election cycle, you still want to make good decisions. I’ve got a ton of information in my Election Guide, but also “short version” outlines for candidates (linked here) and ballot measures (linked here).
Once you’ve finished your homework and your ballot, make sure the ballot reaches election officials on time! At this late date, don’t put your ballot back in the mail because there’s a risk that it won’t be received on time. Instead, hand-deliver your ballot in to a drop box or elections office. I hope you’ll still be able to use my 2026 election guide, but even if you don’t, please make sure that you exercise your sacred right to vote!
