I’ve climbed Mt. Massive. It took a long hike just to reach the base, and a demanding slog to the top. That’s sort of like my process on this guide – a ton of research, followed by a small book’s worth of writing. I have yet to reach this mountaintop!

Welcome to my 2026 Election Guide home page! I almost never say this, but I don’t want readers to spend a lot of time on this page, so I won’t write much. This year’s ballot is gigantic, so get to work! I’ve got links to all the different categories of candidates and ballot measures at the right.

But I get one editorial comment. Please remember the possible impact of your choices. Candidates we elect will probably serve for two, four, or six years. That’s a long time if they wind up not being great public servants! And with ballot measures, please remember that you’re making law, not just affirming values. Look for details, because if we the people pass flawed ballot measures, we are likely to face some consequences from underinformed or uninformed choices.

Finally, I hope there won’t be election shenanigans around here in 2026, but please make sure you get a ballot or vote in person. Your County Clerk should be able to help if there are any difficulties. If you’re from Boulder County, here’s a link to their Elections division for any info you might need or questions you might have: https://bouldercounty.gov/elections/

Happy voting!
