State of Colorado Ballot Measures, 2026

I hope all these ballots just dumped on the table got counted! This year’s State of Colorado ballot measures might get a couple million total votes as we decide to approve or defeat them.

There are 14 State of Colorado measures on your 2026 ballot. The links below will bring you to posts about each one of them – simple enough, but there are a few things voters really ought to know about state ballot measures:

  • Are they Constitutional amendments or statutory measures? In many cases, amending the Constitution is a more impactful move because it takes another vote of the people if someone wants to amend the amendment.
  • For the most part Constitutional amendments need 55% of the vote (plus one) to pass, while statutory measures that just change Colorado Revised Statutes only need 50% plus one.
  • A top-line description of a measure might leave out very important details. It’s a very good idea to read something more than just the ballot title before voting, and this can save voters from making very bad mistakes.

I’ve tried to provide all of this information, and more, in the posts below – along with a lot of links so readers can do deeper dives if they have the time!
